In 1998, Minnesota Sports and Entertainment (MSE) was awarded a new National Hockey League franchise. Soon thereafter, the city of Saint Paul began to build a state-of-the-art venue to serve as the home of their new hockey team.
They wanted the new building to be more than just another arena, they wanted a facility that would rival anything in the country, more than just bricks and mortar, a place where everyone who visited would feel at home.
After visiting arenas and stadiums throughout the country, the ownership group at MSE were not convinced the vendors they met could deliver on this vision, so they turned to a local hospitality company known for providing the Twin Cities best guest experience in the restaurants and hotels they managed. This was the beginning of Wildside Caterers, LLC.
