It is for this reason Xcel Energy Center is considered one of America's finest venues for sports and entertainment, receiving accolades from such prominent publications as Forbes- Best Sports Venue, Sports Illustrated- Best Sports Amenity, ESPN Magazine- Best Arena and Pollstar- Best Arena. This success is not limited to just the arena, Saint Paul RiverCenter has been named Minnesota's "Best Convention Center" and Wildside Caterers has been recognized as Minnesota's "Best Caterer" by several prominent publications in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
